After a fun week of church camp, we came home with full hearts… and a house full of sick kids. 😅 Fever, sore throats and upset tummies made their rounds, and suddenly, even water or Advil wasn’t staying down. That’s when I whipped up my go-to hydration ice pops and they were a total game-changer.

When you’ve got little ones who are vomiting or feverish, staying hydrated is everything…but getting fluids in can feel impossible. These homemade electrolyte pops are gentle, naturally sweetened, and full of the right balance of minerals to help their bodies recover. And bonus: the kids actually ask for them!
🍊 Why These Pops Work
Each ingredient was chosen with purpose – here’s what makes them effective:
- Coconut Water: Packed with potassium and natural electrolytes.
- Juice (like apple or white grape): Offers natural sugars and flavor to help with absorption.
- Maple Syrup or Honey: Provides quick energy and helps the body retain fluid (skip honey if your child is under 1).
- Sea Salt: A tiny pinch adds necessary sodium, which is lost through sweat and fever.
- Lemon or Lime Juice (optional): Brightens the flavor and adds a little vitamin C boost.

These also work great poured into a cup with a straw for sipping if your little one can handle liquids!
