Ok…I’ve seen variations of this recipe floating around the internet for ages, and I was fairly confident that they would NOT turn out to taste anything like brownies.

So I decided to try my own spin on the recipe and I was shocked at how they turned out.

Gluten free, minimal ingredients, and so fudgey and delicious – you are going to love these brownies!

4 Ingredient Super Simple Brownies

Ingredients:

3/4 cup pumpkin puree

1/3 cup nut butter (we used almond)**

1/4 cup cocoa powder

4 TBSP maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C) and line a small pan with parchment paper (we used a 7×7)
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together well
  3. Add to prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes
  4. Optional: top with chocolate chips and coarse salt
  5. Let cool at room temperature before eating
  6. ENJOY!

**You can use whichever nut butter you would like – we used natural almond butter which cut down on the sweetness and the brownies almost tasted like dark chocolate which I LOVE. But if you are a fan of a more milk chocolate taste you may want to use a nut butter that is sweetened (I’m thinking like JIF Peanut Butter)

This recipe made 6 small brownies, so if you are wanting more feel free to double the recipe!

Enjoy!
