🐰 Bunny Ears Toast (The Cutest Easter Breakfast for Kids!)
Looking for a simple but adorable Easter breakfast idea your kids will actually get excited about? This Bunny Ears Toast is the easiest little food hack that turns an everyday slice of bread into something fun and festive.
Perfect for busy mornings, Easter brunch, or just adding a little extra joy to your day!

🛒 What You’ll Need
- 2 slices of bread
- Butter (or cream cheese, peanut butter, etc.)
- Jam or jelly
- Scissors or a knife
✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut your bread into sections
Start with one slice of bread and cut it into three pieces:
- Two longer strips (these will be your bunny ears)
- One small rounded piece (this will be the bunny’s nose/mouth)
Tip: Slightly round the tops of the strips to make them look more like ears!
2. Shape the bunny ears
Trim the strips so they taper slightly at the top, creating that classic bunny ear shape. Then press into the centre of the ears so that it makes a little divot. This part won’t brown in the toaster, and it will be the perfect little holder for your jam!
Don’t worry about perfection – the more homemade it looks, the cuter it is!
3. Toast your base slice
Lightly toast another full slice of bread and the pieces that you cut. The full piece of toast will be the base for your bunny.
4. Spread with butter
While the toast is still warm, spread butter (or your spread of choice) evenly across the surface.
5. Assemble your bunny
Place your pieces onto the toast:
- Two long pieces at the top for ears
- Small piece in the center for the head
Gently press them down so they stay in place.
6. Add jam details
Spoon a little jam onto the inner part of the ears to create that classic “pink bunny ear” look.
You can also add:
- Chocolate chips for eyes
- Fruit for extra decoration
- A drizzle of honey for sweetness
🐣 Make It Your Own
This is such a fun one to customize:
- Use cinnamon sugar instead of jam
- Try Nutella + strawberries
- Make a “savory bunny” with cream cheese and veggies or salami
💛 Mom Hack Tip
Let your kids build their own! Set out the pieces and toppings and turn breakfast into a fun little Easter activity.
